N ewport, Oregon

Located on the Oregon coast on the north side of the Yaquina Bay is the waterfront town of Newport. It has about 10,000 year-round residents. It is popular with retirees and tourists for its beaches, lighthouses, and its iconic landmark, art, and the Yaquina Bay Bridge.

After seeing the same words appear in active community names over and over again, we were curious to see just how much overlap there is. Turns out there is a lot - we have hundreds of communities that use "villages" or "lakes". Plus frequent use of trees, geographic features... and others. Maybe there is something to a name.
